Product Details

This is our DIY kit for retrofitting your own 997 taillights with our LED halo style strips. It DOES NOT include the taillights!

If you want to do these modifications yourself, using your own OEM taillights, this is what you'll need! Included in the kit is everything to do this modification yourself. We provide the best high quality components, and automotive grade wiring and connectors to hook it all up. Everything is completely plug-and-play and no cutting or splicing into your OEM wiring or harness is required. The only thing you'll need to do is run a wire from a 12V source inside the engine compartment to the taillights, in case you select the sequential or "chasing" blinker strip. We provide all materials you need to do this and show you how to do it in the included video instruction.

This kit includes the following:

* Two-part red halo strip (for running lights and brakes);
* One Amber/White switchback halo strip (for blinkers and reverse);
-Choice of solid blinker function or directional sequential style
* One plug-and-play harness to connect all components to your OEM taillight harness without any cutting or splicing;
* LED drivers for all halo strips, with all wiring and connectors for direct plug-in;
* RTV silicone for attaching the LED strips to the inside and the LED drivers to the outside of your taillight housings;
* Butyl rubber for re-sealing your taillights once everything is installed;
* Link to a detailed how-to video with step by step instructions and demonstration of how to do this modification.

Tools you will need to do this retrofit are a heat gun and basic hand tools (screw drivers, pliers and a hobby knife) as well as either a Dremel or other precision cutting device to cut away small parts of the taillight housing and lens. You will also need glue clamps for clamping the lens and housing together to reseal after installation.

Disclaimer:
This retrofit requires you to remove the lenses from your taillights. It requires patience and some skill. You will also need to do some minor cutting on the taillight housing and the inside of the lens.
If you are not comfortable doing this you may want to consider purchasing a complete set of taillights that we already retrofitted. Adrian Taillights is not responsible for any damage sustained to your taillights if you perform this retrofit yourself. Our video is merely a guideline on how you can go about the process, but we offer no guarantees.
